Going One-On-One Against the Goalkeeper

In FIFA Online 3, as in other live matches, you may not have that many chances to score a goal. As such, you must be able to make the most of every opportunity. Knowing what to do when you finally have the chance to go one-on-one against the goalkeeper is thus crucial. Here are some tips to help you score:
Goalkeeper is moving forward
1. Pass the ball
Usually, when the goalkeeper moves forward, your player’s shooting angle will narrow down. This makes it harder to score a goal. In this case, you should look for others players in a better position and pass the ball to them.
Hint: If all your players are moving slowly, continuously press [Q] (Joystick: [LB]) to command players to move forward. 

2. Chipping the ball
This is the best solution to score when the goalkeeper moves forward to block your shooting angle. Generally, there are 3 ways to execute the chip ball:

• [Q]+[D] (Joystick: [LB]+[X])
• [Q]+[W]+[Arrow keys] (Joystick: [LB]+[Y])
• [Shift]+[A] (when you face the goal box)

You need to control the power bar to make sure that the ball lands inside the goal and doesn’t fly over it.


3. Trick shot
If there are no defenders marking your player, you can perform a fake shot to trick the goalkeeper.
To do it, press [D]+[S]+[Arrow keys] (Joystick: [X]+[A]+[LS]). If successful, the goalkeeper will commit himself to attempt to block your feint, and all you need to do now is change your shot direction and you can start celebrating.

4. Dribbling
Skilled managers can control 4-5 star players to dribble past the goalkeeper and score.

Goalkeeper is not moving forward
1. Shooting
Press:

• [Z]+[D] (Joystick: [LT]+[X]): the safest, relatively effective choice
• [D] (Joystick: [X]): normal shot - might be blocked by the keeper
• [D]+[D] (Joystick: [X]+[X]): low shot (very effective against goalkeeper with low GK Diving stat)

2. Passing the ball
If your shooting angle is too small, you may want to pass the ball others players in a better position for a better chance to score.
